The Cook Building

Gina Cook ran her design business on the first floor of 811 W 2nd Avenue for fifteen years. In 2026, after forty years in business, she turned the building into 811 Events: five rooms across three floors, and an artist's studio at the back. She runs it herself.

The rooms keep their brick walls, wood floors and tall windows. What you bring is the event.

Prices

We set up events three ways: Rent A Room, Business and Elegant. Each has a starting-at price, and all of them are completely customizable. You are welcome to bring additional, personalized decor.

The Rent A Room set-up: a round table in a plastic cloth with paper plates, plastic cutlery and folding chairs.

Rent A Room

Starting at $1,000

Any of the rooms. Usually chosen for birthday parties and family reunion potlucks. For those who want to rent the room and provide their own set-up, clean-up, decor, food and beverage. For each person: paper plates in two sizes, a plastic fork, knife and spoon set, one plastic glass and one paper napkin. Tables and chairs are set for the number of people in the package, with a plastic tablecloth on each table. A bare-bones package.

  • Up to 50 people$1,000
  • Up to 100 people$1,250
  • Up to 150 people$1,500
The Business set-up: a round table in a black cloth with porcelain plates, goblets, silverware and a small floral centerpiece.

  • Up to 30 people$4,600
  • Up to 50 people$4,900
  • All Inclusive Package$23,900

Business and Elegant guest-count prices are for the Ballroom and a four-hour event, before catering, charcuterie and beverage service.

For packages priced by guest count, we prorate it: a package for 50 that grows to 60 is priced up from the 50-person price, not moved to the 100-person price.

Corporate events start at $2,500.

Tell us your date and guest count and we'll quote the rest.

See it in person

The rooms are best seen in person. Book a tour to pick a time that suits you, and it's confirmed right away. Or call with your date and a rough guest count, and we'll set up a time to walk you through the building.
